For all of you writers out there, whether established or new, you may find pen and pen better than computer or vice versa.

I would like to talk briefly about each. Maybe, you will end up finding the opposite of what you do to be better.

Pen and Paper:

If you cannot type fast on a computer, writing would be less stress.

Good for short stories, poems and essays.

Greater creativity.

Good for on-the-go.

No distractions.

Personally, I write everything down first, so as to gather my thoughts...Even when doing an article for Hubgarden.com.

Also, I find legal pads to be easier to write and think with...Not sure why.

Computer:

Looks more professional.

You may share via internet.

Possible to publish it on internet.

You can delete.

Good to have if you have a disability of the hand.

Grammar mistakes are fixed.

Personally, I only use my computer for social media, e-mail, websites, photos and uploading of documents. (However, I do have little memo pads everywhere with all of my passwords!)

Finally, what do you feel comfortable using? Which is better for your situation?

You decide.

I used to prefer writing by hand but these days I favour using my laptop. My handwriting tends to be messy. My arm aches after I write a few sentences due to an injury so I prefer technology. I make notes on the memo function on my mobile phone when I am away from my laptop. Sometimes I use Word on my phone and save it to One Drive so I can access it from my laptop when I get home.
I am just not up-to-date. While growing up, I did not have a computer. So, I am either old school or just not up-to-date. I am set in my ways. I do not mind, but office supplies sure do get expensive!
