The following tips might just help you find the right balance and are free!

Have An Accountability Partner
Encourage one another and stop the feeling of isolation. I belong to a writer's group where we hold each other accountable to ATLEAST 10 minutes of writing every day.

In-Home Exercise
Make "friends" with exercise instructors on DVDs and videos for companionship just to get you through the quiet day. I usually play Leslie Sansone in-home walking DVDs and can almost repeat what she will say before she says it!

Change Your Workspace
Go to your local library. People AND quiet! I usually take my laptop to my kitchen for a change of scenery.

Listen To The Radio
This is like listening to old friends. I like to listen to radio stations that are from near my hometown, such as WDVE and 3WS.

Watch An Inspiring Video On YouTube
These are like a free education. I like to watch gift basket making videos as a stress-breaker. I know gift baskets have nothing to do with writing, but it does spark creativity.

This is my short but sweet take on the balancing act of being a work at home writer.
